June is wedding month...bring on the bling!

Sparkle, tulle and vellum - a perfect combination for the new Mr. & Mrs. - So quick and simple!

Stampin' Up!'s new circles framelits combine with each other and, oddly enough, the Holiday Ornament framelit dies for the perfect bling rings.  I literally threw this together in ten minutes for the Paper Players Bring on the Bling Challenge #150.

Some other goodies I used for this card are the Rotary Date Stamp from the This & That Epic Day suite, the Label Love stamp set (Mr & Mrs.) and some basic rhinestone jewels.  Bling, accomplished!

got scraps?

Boy, do I ever!  You'd think I was born in the depression era; when in fact I'm really just a super thrifty gal  craft hoarder.  Anyway, got some scraps?  Make a whimsical birthday card!

I used Stampin' Up!'s new Circle Framelit dies in a very random pattern on Whisper White card stock, rolled it through the Big Shot and then pierced the outside using the circles template from the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack.  Adhered my leftover Sycamore Street (Sale-A-Bration) scrap squares (or oblongs) directly behind the circles then framed that with Island Indigo Cardstock on a Whisper White base.  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

Now there's one idea for the plethora of scrap paper and cardstock we all have lying around well organized and filed by color, pattern and size.

cheerful fun birthday - fsm#89

How fun is this card? I'm pretty sure it's my favorite, so far.  Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana combine with banners, polka dots and lots of white space to keep your focus on the sentiment.

To stamp the sentiment from the label love happy birthday to you stamp, I masked off each portion I wanted to stamp with a post it note, using a sponge dauber to ink the words only. This would have been much easier, had I had a collection of Many Marvelous Markers.  I'm totally ordering myself a set this month!

My inspiration for this card was a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches - and while it's not exactly the sketch, it uses all the elements.  Use sketches as a starting point and jump off where ever you feel comfortable!

I'd love to teach you how to make a fun, cheerful card while you earn free products from Stampin' Up! - Give me a call, a click, or send me an email if you'd like to host a fun girls night in.

2013-2014 Catalog Marker Club!

Have you ever laid out the perfect scrapbook page or card, having carefully chosen your cardstock, designer series paper, stamp sets and ink, only to realize there's something missing?  Do you have some sentiment stamps that cry out for more than one color?  And what about those wonderful floral stamps, do you really want the stem and flowers to be the same color?  Wouldn't you like to have your journaling or signature on a card, coordinate with the entire layout?  Well, I have the answer.  Stampin' Write markers.  In every color.

Stampin' Write markers are water based dye ink, acid free markers with dual tips; one fine for handwriting or outlining and the other, a flexible brush tip to add color to your stamped images.

You could scoot on over to my Stampin'Up! online store and place your order for Many Marvelous Markers, item # 119806; all 38 colors in our color collection (except Whisper White and Very Vanilla) in one sturdy case with extra space for In Color markers.  It's $109.95 plus sales tax and shipping.  And then you'd want to coordinate those markers with our cardstock, because, after all, they match our cardstock perfectly.  You'll want to order from each of our color collections, brights, subtles, regals and neutrals; respectively item #'s 119706, 119704, 119705, 119707 at $6.95 each for a total of $27.80.  Of course, then you'll want our Very Vanilla and Whisper White cardstock, which are the perfect surface on which to stamp your image or sentiment.  Cruise on over to item #'s 101650 and 100730, those are $8.50 each, total $17.00.  Let's add in a Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen in White #105021, perfect for doodling, journaling or adding dimension to stamps on darker colored card stock, for $3.95  Ready to write your check for $185.66?

What if you could get all of the above over a 4 month period and enjoy the hostess benefits of an additional $25.00 worth of Stampin' Up! product FREE  for a total for $46.42 (including tax and shipping) a month?  And then, a FREE marker class just for you at the end of the 4 month period.

It's a great way to establish your collection while gaining hostess benefits without having to host a workshop.

Here's how it works:  every month I will order one of each of the items listed above and you will receive 10 markers in one collection (brights, subtles, regals or neutrals), 20 sheets of assorted cardstock in the color collection of your markers, 20 sheets of either Whisper White or Very Vanilla cardstock (brights and subtles get Whisper White and regals and neutrals get Very Vanilla).  Each month only ONE member will receive the Uni-Ball Signo White Gel pen and that member receives the hostess dollars for that month.  Use your hostess dollars for anything in the catalog, but why not order the 2013-2015 In Color collection of Stampin' Write markers?

I will place the order on the 15th of each month and charge your stored credit card for four consecutive months.  At the end of the four months, everyone will receive the sturdy marker case AND a free, just for you class, to learn a variety of marker techniques.

Sound like something you'd be interested in?  Call, text or email me to get in on this club opportunity soon, there are only two spots left for this club.  Additional clubs can be made with a total of 4 members, just let me know.

Thanks for stopping by!

Retro Sketches #66 - my take

Seems I'm inspired lately by sketch and color challenges, here's a new one from Retro Sketches

A brand new, unopened package of Epic Day Designer Series Paper was sitting there, begging,  just dying to be used along with its coordinating washi tape and stickers.  The Typeset Alpha Dies are my new favorite thing ever, and I'm getting SO much use from them! I stamped a PS from the Sketched Alphabet set, used a Stamp n Write marker for the periods and then I dug out a stamp from the Border Banter set, which was one of the first stamps I owned, from my starter kit order and stamped the card, and the Artisan Label punch in Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake ink.

when the man goes fishin'...

It's a gorgeous day on the shoreline, I really should have gone to the beach.  Instead, I fooled around with some new Stampin' Up! products today.

Washi tape.  I wanna love it.  It's so cute, it's so trendy, it's so f-u-n!  But I'm not sure it's me.  This may take some getting used to... I wasn't too sure about this card, but I posted this on our Stampin' Up! demonstrator's website and it got such great feedback.  I was a little surprised.

Gingham.  So fresh, so fun, so quintessentially summer.  And after this past winter, who isn't ready for a little summertime feel?  I made use of some more washi tape in this one too.  Point for me.

This banner birthday was super fun to make, using Stampin' Up!'s paper piercing templates I just lined up two lines of holes across the page and poked, then crossstiched a few x's with embroidery thread.  This card features the new Label Love stamp set and Artisan Label punch.   The only use my sewing machine has received since becoming a demonstrator is on paper!  Have one? Pull it out and get stitching.  Stitching on paper is so easy.

Strawberry Slush and Crisp Canteloupe are two new colors to Stampin' Up! this year, they're part of the 2013-15 In Color collection, which also includes fabulous colors like Coastal Cabana (my all time favorite), Pistachio Pudding and Baked Brown Sugar - hungry yet?  Here I've paired them together, using a technique where you ink the front side of your embossing folder (here with strawberry slush ink) and run it through your Big Shot.  I really like the subtle tone on tone look it gives using the same color ink as your cardstock.

Call, text or email me to book your Stampin' Up! workshop today and get free products from our brand spankin' new 2013-2014 Annual Catalog found here.

ps - going out for dinner tonight, guess that's why they call it 'fishing' and not 'catching' - heh.
